Second Sun

*Riverside Sculpture Trail*On the North bank of the river Wear underneath Wearmouth Bridge to the marina and finishing at the sea front.The project consists of various installation Art pieces primarily by Colin Wilbourn.Starting with 'Second Sun' and ending with 'C' a black stone monolith with a hole in it.The structures depict the industrial heritage of the City and form part of the Coast to Coast cycle route.Additional Marker posts representing the planets in our Solar system are spaced out relative to their distance from the Sun.Quite a few of these art pieces can be found in the Marina close to the Lifeboat Station.
