Fabulous weekend workshop! Helen is a fantastic teacher who generously shares her knowledge. Suitable for all abilities, fun and inspirational. Studio easy to get to- great public transport links, delightful cafes nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone keen to learn the foundations of classical mosaicing.

I recently attended a course with Helen learning to create a mosaic using the direct method using tile adhesive. It was a very informative course and Helen was extremely knowledgeable as well as being encouraging and enthusiastic throughout the day.I had a great day and very much enjoyed creating my piece and seeing the pieces the others students on the course created.I found the day very inspiring, rewarding, and fun.

I attended a 2 day course with Helen last weekend and had a lovely time. Helen is extremely passionate about mosaics and is a great teacher. There was 6 of us on the course and we all got on great. I highly recommend attending one of Helen’s courses.

I had a great day learning how to make mosaics with Helen. She is a wonderfully skilled, supportive and patient teacher. During the day, she showed us how to design and prepare our boards. We learned about the tools and techniques of mosaic making and how to grout and finish our pieces. I really enjoyed the day and would love to attend more of Helen's courses in the future. Thank you, Helen.

The 6 day mosaic course in Pelion Greece with Helen Miles was one of the best expetiences I have ever had. Helen radiates knowledge and her passion for mosaics. Her teaching style is relaxed and at the same time encouraging, gently guiding you to achieve the best result possible. The Lagou-Raxi Country Hotel is a magnificent venue in a beautiful location and I do hope to return for another course in years to come. I thoroughly recommend Helen as a mosaic teacher.

Having enjoyed quite a few of Helen’s YouTube videos I thought I knew what to expect. I was wrong. She’s SO much better in the flesh, as it were!Lovely manner, great sense of humour and a real confidence that is wonderful for a complete novice.If you’re wondering if you should attend one of her courses, you should!

I recently attended a two day course run by Helen on making mosaics using found materials. I was a little nervous, being a complete beginner and a scientist with no artistic background, but Helen's friendly and encouraging manner put me at ease and I really enjoyed the class. Helen's gentle critiques were useful in guiding me, as were the basic principles she taught us. I came away feeling positive and inspired to create more mosaics.

I have done two courses with Helen Miles in Pelion, Greece. She is an encouraging, enabling and enthusiastic tutor who is very knowledgeable about her subject. On both occasions, the whole group produced wonderful mosaics regardless of their level of experience. I really love the mosaics I have produced. If you can't get to Greece she also offers courses in Edinburgh. Do go.

I have now attended two different Helen Miles Mosaics classes (the Mosaic Introduction Day, followed by the Two Day Mosaic Abstract Workshop) and I found them to be so inspiring and rejuvenating. Helen is an excellent teacher and both her patient and supportive teaching style and her absolute passion for the material create a thoughtful and exciting creative environment.
