Had an incredible time hiking Ben Vrackie with Ross! Couldn't have asked for a better experience out in the Highlands - great weather, amazing views, an uncrowded trail. Everything was well-planned and executed, and all I had to do was show up with my hiking gear. I highly recommend Intrepidus to anyone who is looking for something more adventurous than your typical day tour!

We had a great day out climbing Ben Ledi.Glenn was very knowledgeable, you could really feel his great love and respect for the mountains and wilderness, and he had tons of equipment/extra clothing with him in case we needed anything. The whole experience was great, from booking to pick-up and drop-off to the hotel. Will for sure book again for future Scotland trips!

My husband and I had an amazing time canyoning in Dollar Canyon with Ross and David from Intrepidus! Being from California, we were a little concerned about the relative cold of early May in Scotland, but the thick wetsuits and active hike to the start point kept the cold at bay. The Intrepidus team had great communication before, during, and after the canyoning experience and we felt taken care of the whole way.The canyoning experience itself: SO! FUN! Lots of variety throughout with jumps, sliding over waterfalls, abseiling, scrambling over rocky areas... just such a cool way to experience the Scottish countryside in a personal and active way. Ross and David were super familiar with the terrain and knew exactly where the dodgy spots were and how to avoid injury. I think we made it through the canyon in a little over 2 hours; we had a small group of 6 (plus our 2 guides) so I think that helped us move a bit faster.Overall, this was an adrenaline-fueled adventure in a unique outdoor setting with experienced guides. If you're interested in getting out of the city for a day and getting a well-rounded workout at the same time, look no further than Intrepidus Outdoors!

Ross and Mikey made our Ben Nevis excursion a breeze. They picked us up promptly from Edinburgh in a comfortable minibus and sped us into the Highlands, where Ross provided helpful commentaries on all the sights. There was no faffing about when we got to the mountain - which was appreciated as we were all eager to get started - and Ross set a healthy pace up the trail for the more adventurous among us while Mikey kindly stayed with the slower folk (me included). At no point did we feel hurried, unsafe, or overwhelmed, which is a testament to the team's professionalism. 10/10, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Canyoning with Intrepidus Outdoors was fantastic! From initial contact with Ross, payment, on the day collection to the canyoning itself with Mikey all was seamless, great fun and well organised. 5 of us descended the Dollar canyon in February 2020 for a Stag that took us to Edinburgh. Everyone loved it and said it was some of the best canyoning they had done. All good equipment and even brand new shoes! Would definitely use Intrepidus Outdoors again.

Wow!! What a day!To start, Intrepidus Outdoors provided excellent communication from our very first email months before the excursion, up until the day of. Their colorful mini bus promptly picked us up directly from our hotel in Edinburgh and drove our family an hour away to Dollar Canyon.Let me preface this by saying we are a fit family + we have canyoneered in Moab, UT and Maui, Hawaii prior to this excursion, so our family is familiar with harnesses, rappelling, and didn’t have the anxiety that a first-timer might have had in an adventure like this… plus this was the BEST experience we have ever had! Wow!!Our guide, Ross, was friendly and warm and earned our trust quickly on the drive to the canyon. After arriving, we were fitted with neoprene suits, booties and helmets and began a very steep hike up to the top of the falls.The suits kept us quite warm while we cliff jumped, zip-lined, rappelled, slid down rock waterslides, scrambled, and hiked through the canyon for several hours.The excursion requires stamina, physical fitness, and a positive, confident, trusting mindset. What a great way to bond with our teenage boys! This was an experience of a lifetime and we would love to do it again!Thank you Ross and Intrepidus Outdoors for an incredible day!

Absolutely brilliant activity. From dealing with Ross by very prompt and efficient emails, to being dropped back to our hotel after the activity, everything was incredibly organized and enjoyable. Top quality equipment, top quality guides, Ross and David, top quality scenery and most importantly top quality fun. While being incredibly safe at all times, the sense of thrill, freedom and enjoyment was amazing. Even had someone in our group afraid of heights, yet he did a 17 metre abseil. Topped off with a great lunch provided before being dropped off at the hotel in the entre of Edinburgh again.Would recommend for all levels as we were all beginners, on day 2 of a stag do!

Ross was my guide for the ascent/decent to the summit of Ben Nevis via the Mountain Path. Ross was absolutely outstanding. I mean that in every aspect of the entire day, as Ross will agree, was a very long one. The service by Ross; from pick up from my AirBnB in Edinburgh; the introduction from Ross; the car ride to the Visitors Centre at Ben Nevis; the safety brief before setting off; the ascent up the Mountain Path; the patience and support including some very subtle physiology in getting me to the summit; the incredible support on the decent when my legs succumbed to the riggers of the “Burn”; Ross made sure my safety and well being was paramount; making the adventure extremely and overwhelming fulfilling. I would without hesitation recommend Ross, and Intrepidus Outdoors for all of your outdoor adventures.

We did the Dollar Canyoning and it was fantastic from start to finish! Thanks to all the guys for making us all feel safe and confident throughout. Communication from Emma and Ross was great, really quick responses and answered all our questions. The hardest part was definitely the walk up the hill in the wetsuits - everything after that was a breeze! The door to door pickup was great too, it made organising very straightforward. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

We had the best day Coasteering! Ross and Eloy were brilliant at their jobs and made us feel completely relaxed about doing the jumps but also made sure we were having a load of fun at the same time! I could not recommend this company/experience highly enough, we will definitely be back again!
