Effectively scammers. Any open and honest repair company would notify a customer before taking an item in if they did not have parts available for said item and/or no capacity to repair the item, but SST did not do that. Instead, they accepted the item for which they had no ability to repair due to not having parts (something that should be easily verifiable by checking their inventory), and then they held on to the item until I paid an inspection fee, obviously under threat of them disposing of or selling the item if payment isn't provided within their grace period to retrieve it (as per their terms of conditions). Extremely cynical and underhanded business practice, clearly motivated by profiteering from items that they won't even do jobs on.

If you have Denon equipment for repair, do not come to them.They do not stock Denon parts and take advantage of their 'official Denon repair' status to take customer orders, then turn around and charge you £50 saying they don't have the Denon parts anymore.If they know they don't have Denon parts, they should not be taking in Denon items then charging their customer for a free £50. Simple as.

Great service, performed the repair for a good price in the aforementioned time period.Hopefully I don’t have to use them again, but I will if needs be.

Terrible service. Promises broken, inefficient and ineffective, disguised as 'very busy'. Recovered my AV receiver unrepaired from them after 3 weeks. Think long and hard before using them.

We took our 36 year old turntable we hadn't been able to use for years to SST just before lockdown, they managed to get the replacement parts to repair it and kept it till we were able to pick it up. Good service at a good price. We have really enjoyed listening to our old vinyl again.

Good repair at a good price recommended.They told me that they are very busy at moment and repairs taking longer, had my unit for 7 weeks, but did quote 4-6 so not unhappy.

Have been using SST for over 10 years. If it is AV, pro or domestic, and can be fixed, they can do it. Good value for money, friendly guys, will continue to use them for as long as I keep breaking things! So far they have serviced and repaired Denon cd decks I used to DJ with, rebuilt PA speakers and crossovers, repaired amps, both pro and domestic, even rebuilt electrostatic speakers. Took my money, waited 6 weeks, and then told me the parts to repair my 4 year old Denon amp were no longer available. Claim to be a Denon official repair centre but can't get hold of parts for an amp which is only a few years old.Time & money wasted.

A big thanks goes out to SST in repairing my Denon 6500 amp everything was done in a very professional manner i just downloaded the registration form filled it in sent the amp away to the company . Got a call a week later asking to pay the £30 inspection fee they said I would be contacted in 2-3 weeks time with the repair fee and true to their word got a call saying the repair fee would be £170.00 if I wanted to go ahead I was delighted with the price they said it would be repaired in a week again outstanding and true to there word got the call saying my amp has been repaired paid the repair fee they posted it back that day and I received it 2 days later all repaired and very very pleased with the result . I would definitely you’s this company again for all my repairs the very best company out there .
