Triage lady that saw my dog was rude, talked over me when I was exposing his condition, raised her eyebrows at me, and I had to ask her why she done that. My dog wasn’t eating or drinking as he was so poorly but she said just go home and medicate him, I asked how I could medicate him as he wasn’t taking anything orally and she patronisingly told me to put it in his mouth. As I was leaving she said oh I forgot his temperature, she took it and it was over 40 so she took me to a side room. The vet who came to see my dog was amazing and he was admired over night on intravenous antibiotics and fluid. Can’t believe the triage lady was prepared to send him home

My dog became sick on a Friday evening, 8/12/23. I brought him in to Vets Now Hemel Hempstead in the middle of the night and had such a wonderful experience. The vet was amazing.. She really took her time and addressed all of my concerns. She was calm, kind and very professional. I highly recommend.

Following an emergency visit late last sunday evening we sadly had our cat put to sleep. Our thanks to Michelle the vet and to the night nurse for looking after him.One negative; whilst this is an emergency out of hours service, so i get it would be pricey, it is staggeringly expensive to use.

So I would actually rate the vet at Hemel 5 stars she was excellent with my GSD who was taken in for an emergency appointment in the early hours of the morning.I didn’t have to wait too long and they had all the required medication and he made a speedy recovery. However I am rating the insurance department 1 star. My insurance company had to chase 3 times and it was only when I chased them twice did was any action taken.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Moneymaking enterprise, extortionate prices and with no love or care for the pets themselves.Last year we had to take our poorly pet to the out of hours service. Sadly he became very ill and I had to bring him home to be euthanized.I had him in my arms in a blanket and they wouldn't let me leave until they'd taken payment. Shocking. They had all my home details and I was naturally in pieces but they didn't show an ounce of empathy. To further add insult to injury a couple of weeks ago, a year almost since my pet passed, they sent out a bill for a shortfall. I queried it but found it impossible to speak to them as always got an answer machine. Then this week they have the audacity to send me a letter from a Debt Collecting Company. When I spoke to my Insurance Company I found out to my surprise, that they had added all sort of admin charges and fees for processing the claim, which they never told me about when I was there, plus added another fee for sending it to the Debt collection company.NEVER AGAIN . Disgraceful, uncaring poor excuse for a company, cashing in on our poorly pets and our love for them as caring owners.I must also add I found both the triage nurse and the vet we saw not up to par and certainly not worth what they're charging. You have been warned. Use them at your peril!

Our elderly rat deteriorated at home this evening, we called the emergency number and were told to drive straight there. Upon arrival our pet (and us) were treated with the upmost respect and kindness. Our boy had to be pts. The vet showed my ratty kindness, love and made sure that he passed away peacefully. The vet even explained the reasoning why he had to be pts to my 10 year old son in a way that he would understand. I really appreciate the dedication to our pet and to us as owners. Thank you for making this hard decision and heart breaking evening easier. I highly recommend this vet for emergencies.

Had to take our cat here as she hadn’t eaten for days.We waited approximately 5.5 hours.Eventually seen and blood was taken. They had to repeat the bloods half hour later as apparently the machine didn’t work properly. Was then told that cat was anaemic and a blood transfusion fusion would maybe help and needed to see a specialist the same afternoon. Was told it would cost I’m excess of £3000,00Discussed with my husband and we decided that we would take her to our own vet the following morningWe were “given” a tin of chicken cat food as the vet said all cats loved it and also a bottle of milk recovery liquid. We paid the bill of just under £700. On looking at the bill on returning home, those 2 items alone were a cost of £6+ for the tin and £34 for the very small 200ml bottle.I took the cat to our own vet on Monday and was told we made the correct decision to take her there . They did a scan and found lymphoma in her spleen and intestines. Very sadly we had to have her put to sleep.

Excellent emergency care for my two beagles who ate a lot of raisins. They were seen immediately, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and they explained everything well. Great service.
