Awful straws. Other paper straws are nowhere near as bad as Transcend Packaging. Sort it out!

We must all do our bit to stop plastic pollution. Wales was first in introducing a charge for plastic carrier bags in our supermarkets in order to try and reduce their usage and now we have paper straws hitting our shelves. A genius solution by Transcend packaging for introducing us to the paper straw and I’m sure other plastic free packaging in the future, which will make for a more healthier environment for our children’s and their children’s lives. Brilliant job Transcend.

Please get your R&D team to come up with a non-plastic straw that doesn’t get in the way of a drink’s taste, or starts to breakdown if a drink is consumed slowly. I’m all for saving the environment, but at least come up with a suitable alternative that doesn’t taste like old cardboard.

Awful products. Crete the new (and awful) McDonald's paper straws which are not fit for purpose in any shape or form. Transcend paper straws are like drinking through an old toilet roll tube.Edited to add:It was on the news today that the straws that Transcend make can't even be recycled! So not are they the worst paper straws I have ever had the misfortune to try, they don't even help the environment! Also quite a suspicious number of 5 star 'reviews' coincidently appear after I left this one.. Coincidence?
