3 items of pure deliciousness, we went for panko squash and the mushroom one , and some fries, , the Bao's are around £7 each and are much larger then ones we have had elseware , to top it off the pub itself is great with loads of great beers and lovely staff , we went for a cider been a sunny day and they are dog friendly too

We came back here after 3 or 4 years because we remembered how amazing the food was... And it didn't disappoint. So good I could cry. The gochujack mc and cheese balls were delicious. As well as the rest of the meal to be honest.

Baos were delicious! We had the pork belly one and it was succulent and soft. The bun was lovely and fluffy. The baby bao fries were only okay. They were a bit greasy. The spicy chicken was also only okay as it was mostly batter. But it was super crispy. We went for lunch on Thursday and it was not full but the music was a bit loud. This is expected because it is a pub.Super friendly service!I will definitely go back for the baos!

My recent visit to Baby Bao was great culinary adventure! The mushroom bulgogi bun quickly became my favorite, a perfect balance of flavors that left me wanting more. Kimchi fries were a delightful addition to the meal. To top it all off, the outdoor seating area is perfect for soaking up the Brighton sun while enjoying these delectable treats. I highly recommend Baby Bao for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with Bao buns and a welcoming atmosphere.

These baos are so good, they should be illegal! Complex, balanced, and perfectly prepared. Hands down the best food we had in Brighton!!!

Baby Bao
Let's start with the food. Baby Bao's bao buns are outstanding - soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. There are several options to choose from, including classic pork belly, crispy chicken, and tofu, and all are served with delicious toppings like pickled veggies and Sriracha mayo. The loaded fries are also a standout - crispy, golden-brown fries smothered in toppings like kimchi, bacon bits, and melted cheese. Even the vegetarian and vegan options are incredibly flavorful and satisfying, making Baby Bao a great spot for anyone, regardless of dietary restrictions. One thing to note is that Baby Bao's menu is quite limited, focusing almost exclusively on bao buns and loaded fries with a couple sides here and there. While this may be disappointing for some, it's important to note that what they do, they do very well. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making Baby Bao a great value for anyone looking for a satisfying, flavorful meal. The atmosphere at Baby Bao is casual and relaxed, with a fun, quirky vibe that fits in perfectly with the Pond pub's overall aesthetic. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the service is quick and efficient. It's worth noting that the pub itself is quite small, so seating can be limited during peak hours (Walk-ins only) . However, this only adds to the cozy, intimate feel of the restaurant, and the delicious food and great beer selection more than make up for any potential inconvenience.Overall, I would highly recommend Baby Bao to anyone looking for a tasty, satisfying meal in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. The bao buns and loaded fries are exceptional, and the range of vegetarian and vegan options is a welcome bonus. Combine that with the Pond's impressive selection of speciality beers, and you have a winning combination that's sure to please.
