Tunstall Vaccination Centre

Disappointing service. Travelled over especially to get my son vaccinated at the session shown as being open from 9am to 4pm today but when I got there the doors were shut even though I could see people in there. When I went to the'exit' door, a member of staff advised that they were shut until 2pm and that I could 'come back later'. When I said I had travelled over from the other side of the city especially, as I have vulnerable relatives in my family and I would like to get my son vaccinated asap, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said 'that's just the way it is'. There were very few people sitting in there. Very quiet, not like they were inundated and no mention of it being shut over lunch time. I understand staff need their lunch but the man I spoke to was unnecessarily ignorant and unhelpful, no invitation to sit and wait until 2pm, and a very couldn't care less attitude. I'm unable to return later. I'm assuming there will be other sessions available in the future hopefully, staffed with more caring workers. I won't be returning to this venue anyway.

Used this vaccination centre today. As a walk in (no need to book) So well organised.I’ve a terrible phobia of injections so wanted to just turn up get done and out.From start to finish they really did look after me.The gentleman who did the injection was so reassuring. His name was Chris. Over and done within a few seconds. Thank youThen a really lovely nurse named Emily. I went hear today for my Covid jab and I must say how happy I was to have picked here to have it done,I didn’t know this place existed and was a bit nervous but I needn’t have been as the staff here are great. Each section you go though is friendly, helpful but professional. The actual injection was totally pain free,I never felt anything,in fact i didn’t realise it had been done. Finally you are looked after thoughout even in the place you have to wait the 15 minutes before leaving. I had a pleasant time talking to the staff who look after you in there and the time flew. After attending these places over the years with the flu and now the Covid jabs becoming the norm there are a number of places that could learn a lot from this place.
