Learn Italian with Stefania

Stefania creates a really relaxing environment in which to learn Italian. I had been learning online but needed more practice with spoken Italian which only a group environment can do. I was nervous about a group setting but Stefania is really supportive.

My daughter and I attend this family lesson with Stefania; I rarely have the opportunity to speak Italian since the death of my nonni and we’re finding Stefania and her lessons reinvigorating! I feel that my heritage is being passed on to my daughter. Stefania responds to our different needs so well. I have a lot of spoken Italian, without the grammatical knowledge to back it up, but my daughter knows only a handful of phrases. This family lesson helps us to learn Italian together at a pace that works for us both. But most precious of all, we’re keeping my grandparents’ memory alive. Money can’t buy that. Having studied Italian for a few years, in 2019 I joined Stefania’s class at the University of the Third Age, United Reform Church, Sutton Coldfield. Having a passion to learn another language (my native tongue is English) and having made little progress with French at School I knew it was not going to be easy and to be perfectly honest, it hasn’t! However, I cannot be anything but encouraged by Stefania’s love of her language and everything Italian! Following lockdown, I took the opportunity to take some individual on line lessons to improve my speaking and reinforce earlier learning. These have helped considerably and with Stefania’s constant encouragement I have made further progress with the intricacies of Italian grammar! I am often asked why I chose to learn Italian; well there is no particular reason for Italian except that of the rich Italian history. Who can help but be moved by a country that gave us the Roman Empire! That aside there is another aspect to learning, particularly for one “chi è non più giovane “ (simply translated – who is not young!) the benefits on memory become obvious when you find yourself learning Italian words! One should never be put of learning whatever your age and clearly with some help from Stefania who knows what you can achieve!

I’ve been taking classes for a couple of months and I’m really enjoying learning Italian.The group is small and friendly, and Stefania is a great teacher. The pace is good and very interactive which gives the opportunity to use what you have learnt.I would highly recommend this class to anyone that wants the challenge of learning a new language.

If you’d like to learn Italian in a relaxed atmosphere Stefania is the tutor for you.Her teaching style means that students work hard but there’s no feeling of pressure and no formal assessments. Another plus is that rather than visiting a topic and leaving it, so that it is quickly forgotten Stefania revisits topics at regular intervals. Every lesson has a variety of components grammar, listening, reading and speaking. Enjoyable classes whether in a friendly group or in one to one sessions.

Stefania is a lovely patient lady and I really recommend her to anyone wanting to turn their hand at having a go of learning another language. Comfortable laid back attitude in class meeting lovely people. Go on, have a go!'

Nothing to say except fantastic. Known stefania as my teacher for a while, she has the patience of a Saint and really knows how to pass on her knowledge in a professional way that was readily adapted for my learning style. Happy to recommend and will continue to use her to further my learning.

Absolutely amazing Italian lessons! Stefania is great and very friendly teacher, the lessons are in small groups, in very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
