AVOID !!! We got a take out & the food was inedible, disgusting !! Pretty Expensive too. Just think twice before ordering or going.

One of my favourite curry houses. I’ve been visiting here for 25 years or more but I won’t be going back too soon. The food is really expensive but the drinks are massively over-priced. £23 for a glass of wine and a jug of lassi feels greedy. The service was fine and the food was delicious but didn’t suit all parties as it wasn’t quite as described. The chicken tikka masala was nice but certainly not chicken tikka masala and it had some meat (lamb?) in. The lamb Achar was outstanding, as always although I’ve had better from here in the past.I’d say this restaurant is on the decline and that’s, at least in part, because I rated it so highly before and it is still a decent, albeit overly expensive meal but it’s not a premier destination for that special occasion. Far from it, actually. I would choose elsewhere next time.

Went to the Sunday buffet was awful. Starters were all dry and the onion bhaji were the worst I have ever tasted. Main courses were not much better. £18.95 per person wasted.

First visit at the Wakefield branch. Paid over a hundred pounds for the meal. Starters arrived pretty quickly. Unfortunately some of it is just slightly warm. Asked the waiter and he said he just brought it out from the kitchen. Don’t wanna to argue with him. Because is only like 2-3 yards away from our table to the kitchen. Some of the starters seem to me are microwaved. Main course some are just warm too. Especially the naan bread. Won’t be going back.

I like the Aagrah group, they have always been excellent. This though is my favourite of them. The food here seems a cut above in terms of balance of spices and just perfect. The service accross the whole group is always excellent. Nice people too

Food is very average.chicken and lamb appeared more like raw rather then cooked properlyIt was a meeting organized by pharma company but the meeting room was so cold that we have to keep our jackets on while eating.Overhaul a poor experience.

Gave rhem another try today for their buffet..Charged extra for poppadums and pickle tray but didnt say when asked if we want them..5 starters (been there a while very dry)4 meat mains 2 veg ( my other half doesn't eat meat so only had 2 choices.. still charged 18.95 full price.. meat seem cheap cuts and cut very small..1 cobra 1 coke £53 total bill.. definitely not worth it.. shame but won't go back again 2 very poor to average experiences .. and much better nearby in wakefield .Just moved into area , thought would be great to have a nice Indian restaurant nearby..Outside area very dirty rubbish everywhere, not great kerb appeal .. inside I woukd describe as very dated but was ok. Only one waiter on, so service not great.. Cobra nearly £6 per bottle .Food tasty but looked scruffy , zero for presentation .. 3 out of 5 for taste.Overall very expensive £100 3 people, 1 non drinker.. in a restaurant that needs to Invest in and out to make it appealing and if your are charging £14 for main dishes make them look nice

Restaurant now looks like it was falling apart outside and decor inside looked like it hadn't been updated in 20 years.Service was slow. Food was swimming in oil and not up to much at all. Then the bill arrived and it was a lot of money for one of the worst meals at a curry house I can remember.

I've been to Aagrah a few times over the years and sadly it's lost its touch. It feels outdated inside and doesn't have much of an atmosphere. It definitely needs a bit of an update. The food is nice but a bit overpriced unfortunately. But not bad overall. However, my main grips is the labelling of items on the menu, which is pretty tragic. I ordered a peshwari naan and it came with basically an entire bag of raisins dumped on top and quite literally zero coconut on/in it. It's a bit of an offence to call it a peshwari naan really. It tasted ok but it's not what it says it is which is the main thing! A similar thing happen with my main as well which wasn't clear on what meat was in the dish.Would I go again? Maybe if someone I knew really wanted to go, but otherwise I would venture out and try a new place instead. It's worth mentioning that the staff were very nice and the service was on point!
