Looking for a new date restaurant we stumbled across Golpo and was not disappointed. Only second to the food was the atmosphere and staff. They offer a good selection of mocktails which was good as we don’t drink. Our second visit was for desserts only and presentations was the best. A bit pricey so we are saving our next visit as a treat or to take friends.

Great food and service. The extensive dry bar has some very good drinks including the wine. The coconut espresso martini is worth a try. Reasonable prices across the menu.

One of the best foods I’ve had in Cambridge during my 3 months stay, and the price is reasonable. Staffs are friendly and nice, the restaurant is very clean with good decoration! Definitely will come again. Highly recommended!

I visited this restaurant on a business trip and got to taste a part of my business partners home. Everyone was fantastic and truly had service far more than others in the UK. The sampling of the food we had was quite amazing and fresh.

We had the pleasure of trying this new restaurant which only opened a week ago. How amazing and unique the flavours and the taste of the food. The service was 5 star the waiters and management was very attentive. This restaurant is also unique they sell non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails which tasted amazing. Will definitely be coming back again. If you haven't tried then you need to get down there quickly. 5 star will definitely coming to visit again very soon.

The best Indian restaurant in Cambridge. I tried chicken, beef, mutton, and also my favourite Mango Lassi. All are delicious.

I had dinner with my wife and a friend at Golpo and we had an excellent experience. Everything tasted amazing and the staff and management were very attentive and helpful. Their recommendations were excellent. We especially enjoyed the deserts, a very creative mix of flavours.

2-Back for the new lunch menu. 50% off is really a good introductory deal :3As an omnivorous person still wavering between chicken and veggie dumplings, the manager’s reply “chicken of course” just makes me smile. I wish there are mixed options though (willing to pay for the chicken price). The xiaolongbao-like miniature shape makes me nostalgic despite their many differences. Slightly smaller than normal but works well as a starter. It may appear white and bland, but it’s actually warmly spiced. The thick and chewy dough is really satisfying. The filling can be a little dry but works well with the hot chili sauce.Service is friendly and warm as usual. Food is a bit slow, especially considering the lunch menu. It’s worth the wait if you are not in a hurry.Bento Thali is a cute idea. Poppadoms are crispy without being greasy. Chicken curry is tomatoey, tender, flavorful and not too heavy. The parotta bread is super stretchy ^^ (I love both fluffy naan and dense flatbread). The chapli kebab is crispy outside and gooey inside. The salad is more like garnish, maybe next time I will have some veggie momos too (´・ω・`)—-Excited to try the new restaurant in Cambridge specializing in Bengali food (and not just appearing in some hyphenated form). And many thanks to the manager for answering my thousands of questions and giving awesome recommendations.)The portions are not large so it’s possible to try many things. (Who said the soft launch menu is too small? There are so many things to try.)Dal Bora Chaat are lovely warm crispy-soft spiced lentil balls on the cooling subtly sweet yoghurt. A nice start.Kolkatta Spice Garlic and Chili Chicken tastes nostalgic and reminds me of chicken stir fry in Chinese restaurants. Tender. Not very spicy but flavorful.'Kosha Mangsho'— Simmered mutton curry is super tender and contains parts of tendon. Thick, nicely spiced with a hint of tomato. We literally emptied the plate with the nice springy naan.I was really curious about cooked jackfruit and ordered another Kathal Aur Kawal Korma. Interesting. Mellow, creamy, utty and slightly coconut-flavored, the sauce is on the sweeter side— I’ll count it as a dessert. The cooked jackfruit turns out to have a meaty appearance and less fruity-like. My friend likes the sauce but not the fruit pieces. It is indeed unique and may be an acquired taste. (I didn’t find lotus roots though..)Looking forward to trying the other recommended tandoori prawn and explore the regional dishes, which appears more familiar like those in American Indian restraints with curry+protein/veggie options. The ambience is nice with the background music. We felt pampered as the plates and cutleries were replaced with each dish, from the nibbles to the mains, which came with warmed plates. Hope the restaurant will survive and thrive :)

Exceptional service and amazing food. We are eastern Europeans and the names of the food on the menu were not familiar too well so it was an experiment for us. Everything we had here today had outstanding, unusual flavours, well presented and was greatly enjoyable. 10 out of 10.Thank you :)
