It was very busy. I was surprised I could get a table for 4. I booked online 20mins before arrival. Got drinks waited 5mins for a free table, then was shown to a table. We all got are food and ate and left within the hour. Fantastic will be coming again. It was the First time I've been.

Not the best place to go for a carvery. The restaurant itself was cold. Our friends asked to be moved 3 times to get some warmth. The food was barely warm when we got it, and bearing in mind that we are in Autumn, there was a shocking lack of green vegetables. Such a shame because I used to love to go for a carvery at Toby Inns, but their standards and quality of food have dropped dramatically.

My waitress was lovely, however there were a couple of issues firstly the lamb wasn’t available there was a 1/2 hour wait so couldn’t have any. Then one of the waiters dropped some serviettes then continued to use them on a new table, is this standard practice? It did put me off. However the food was hot and nice our waitress was really nice.

We had our choir Christmas night out there. Everything went well from start to finish. The staff helped with the atmosphere by being so up beat and happy. Would certainly recommend and go back again.

BREAKFAST (Average):Food was average, just about. Eggs were hard and sad. Black pudding was as dry as the Sahara dessert. Coffee was great. Sausages were great, bacon was great and Yorkies were goodish albeit a bit dry.SERVICE (POOR)When you entered it looked like 1 staff member was actually in the building. Stood for 10 minutes waiting to be seated despite booking. When paid we were told to find our own seat. The staff were blunt, not friendly and frankly shouldn't be working in service until they're trained. I just got on with it politely anyhow. Still very poor service and severely understaffed 10am was arrival 02/12/23.ATMOSPHERE (POOR)Atmosphere was okay not too loud, lots of the seats here are damaged and uncomfortable as a result. It is clean though, which is nice.TOILET ISSUE.... This dragged the atmosphere stars down. One toilet in the male toilets is ridiculous, is that even legal for the amount of seating? What if it breaks? About 80-120 people to use one toilet? Whoever designed this place is insane. The toilet in the males is designed so stupidly. Uses loads of space for no reason.

Our server was ,lovely, very friendly and happy to assist us in whichever way she could. Food was very tasty with a good choice available and it was very hot and well cooked. Our only issue was the gravy pots were almost empty so we didn't get enough and there didn't seem to be anyone around the area to ask. I am sure it would have been refilled if asked. It was a very pleasant experience with good food and I would definitely be returning.

I wish I caught the name of our waitress because she was absolutely lovely, she had all the time in the world for us. Not rushed when ordering deserts & drinks. She was funny & welcoming. She made us both smile and we spoke about how great she was. I would say she was between the age of 40-45 but I may be wrong. We had an issue with our discounts on the app but she sorted it out very quickly for us. Truly an asset to your business.

All though it was extremely busy the waitress was attentive with out being pushy. She just appeared every time we needed her it was brilliant. We were a large party (10) and we were seated at tables that gave everyone room. Even room for people to pass by our table. The carvery was beautiful the vegetables were all cooked the way we like so we had no complaints about the food. I was a little unfair by marking you down by one as it was extremely busy and very crowded you are very popular and although I would like for it to be a bit quieter it would probably have meant that the food and service was not as good it actually was. We will be back.
