Days of Dahlia

Truly the most beautiful flowers. I knew from following Days of Dahlia on social media for the past year that their blooms wouldn’t disappoint. The variety, colours and presentation were perfect. I love that they’re home grown and family run - you can tell how passionate Lauren and Louisina are about floristry and it shows in their creations. I was over the moon with my wedding flowers - thank you!

Attended the Floristry Career Course at Days of Dahlia's flower studio. Can honestly say it was such a positive experience. Lauren and Louisina were so generous with their time and knowledge, while encouraging creativity. Lush flowers, gorgeous food and company in a beautiful setting. This course was practical and engaging, providing a real foundation for growing your own sustainable floristry practice.

I attended the Wedding Flowers course in September and couldn't recommend it highly enough. It is still quite difficult to find truly sustainable Wedding courses and I travelled from Merseyside to attend. This course was perfect and great value for the money. Lauren and Louisina are so warm and friendly and shared their very creative approaches and considerable experience with us. They were very generous with the amount of beautiful flowers we got to practise with, and the setting was gorgeous! A real highlight was getting to make a floral Moongate which was stunning! . Lauren's teaching of the spiral technique was above and beyond any teaching I had had before, great attention to placement of your fingers when creating your spiral was revelatory, I could hold the bouquet whilst building it without my hand aching! Gorgeous lunches and treats were provided and today I received the beautiful professional images Lauren took during the course. I'm sure I will back to do the bouquet improvers course to develop my style further.

Soooo pleased we picked Days of Dahlia to be our florist for our wedding. Lauren and her team’s ethos about bringing sustainability into floristry was a big winner for us and not something we came across elsewhere. They are in a league of their own/ ahead of the game in terms of creative environmentally friendly flower arrangements. Knowing that our flowers were grown locally, you could see the life and quality to them. The arrangements were gorgeous, vibrant, different and smelt amazing (we had a lot of guests and even other suppliers comment on the scent as soon as they walked into our venue). Also their commitment to not using floral foam/ oasis is fascinating; finding resourceful and imaginative ways to avoid the nasty stuff, but not compromising on the beauty/ ascetics. Lauren was so helpful with the whole styling process, from the hand dyed ribbons, to the candles, to the vases, the confetti and all the blooms… it looked amazing and wow’ed everyone. From the first communications with Lauren, I knew we were in safe hands. Highly recommend!!

I cannot recommend Days of Dahlia highly enough. Lauren and Louisina created our beautiful bouquets, buttonholes and centre pieces for our wedding in September 2021. They added such a wonderful burst of colour and vibrancy to our special day.My husband and I didn't really know what we wanted in terms of specific flowers, but Lauren guided us through the process, taking inspiration from our favourite colours and the bright and happy atmosphere we wanted to create. We were overjoyed when the flowers arrived on the day. My bouquet was a stunning arrangement of flowers of different colours and sizes, with some I'd never seen before and some which had a natural bounce as I moved. Whilst taking our wedding pictures, I even had a little hover fly keeping me company and enjoying the selection! I smile every time I think of the flowers and they were such a great addition to an already memorable day.Lauren and Louisina were so incredibly easy to work with and were genuine in their enthusiasm for their craft. We were drawn to them because of their focus on sustainability and loved that they grew the flowers themselves, but it was their artistry and kindness, which truly made the experience exceptional. I had a brilliant time at the Days of Dahlia botanical dye workshop. A really enjoyable, informative and hands on evening. A lovely place to learn and great teachers.

Couldn’t recommend Days of Dahlia enough! We were looking for some rustic flowers for our wedding bouquets and didn’t know where to start looking! I seen Days of Dahlia recommended on a wedding blog and fell in love with the rustic, authentic feel of the business. Lauren and her Mum couldn’t have done a better job of bringing our flower vision to life! The flowers were STUNNING and the bouquets were large in size! We got a bouquet for myself as a Bride and smaller bouquets (poseys) for the bridesmaids. We also got all our cake flowers and buttonholes which were just stunning. They got to know us well and made sure they had an in depth knowledge of our theme and vision getting to know exactly what we wanted in great detail! We had such a lovely experience going out to visit the workshop space and were able to have an in depth discussion/consultation about exactly what we would like. Lauren and her mum showed us lots of different options and inspo pictures as well as all the stunning hand dyed ribbons they have on offer which really fitted in with our rustic barn wedding. The communication and service from enquiry room the day was excellent and I felt so confident and relaxed that everything about the flowers would be perfect. They really did exceed our expectations and everyone commented on how stunning the colours were. The fact that they are all grown and picked by Lauren and her mum made it feel so special and they were arranged beautifully with a mix of fresh and dried flowers. Cannot thank Days of Dahlia enough for making our dream flower vision come to life and for the amazing service. The flowers were delivered to our venue on the day and the cake flowers were out on the cake by Lauren as well so we didn’t have to do anything! Thank you guys!! 100/10!! Wish I knew how to add photos to the review as they were truly beautiful!

Despite being in the early stages of Covid recovery, Lauren created amazingly beautiful flowers for our wedding — my bouquet was stunning and the display in the church added so much to the atmosphere of the ceremony. She also provided elegant bottles and candlesticks to make the tables at our reception really magical, and made gorgeous posies and buttonholes for our bridal parties. Communication was always prompt and professional, and Days of Dahlia were a delight to work with. Highly recommended!

Love the story of how DoD came about and drooled over the bouquets for ages. Bought a Christmas wreath and it might be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous, will definitely be going to Days of Dahlia for all things flowers from now on!

Highly recommend Lauren & Louisina for all things floristry. I love their style and how they use sustainable methods to create with and only use their own Scottish grown flowers. I attended a workshop on how to improve bouquet making techniques and their teaching style was patient and guiding without being overly prescriptive which was perfect for me. I came away feeling much more confident about creating the natural whimsical garden style I was looking to achieve, with two beautiful bouquets. As a lovely finishing touch, Lauren also took some professional quality photos of my bouquets which I received a couple of weeks after the workshop which are a stunning reminder of the day. Thanks for an amazing workshop, hopefully I’ll be back again!
